Amazingly, I have today and tomorrow free from clinic appointments. Although there are still markers they’re watching closely, several are slowly moving in the right direction. Plenty of meds to take, but no neupogen shots needed right now. They also cautioned me not to worry that my weight is actually decreasing a little. This is expected to happen with CAR-T therapy. At some point, I will slowly start gaining weight. Very gradually. My food restrictions are totally lifted except being careful around heavy duty fats and fried foods. They also want me to increase the amount of protein intake, so I’m working on that.
Eva and I are planning a walk on the Stanford campus later today. Yesterday, we walked nearly a mile around the Alta Mesa Memorial Park (I.e., cemetery) in Palo Alto. Among other sightings was the grave for Shirley Temple. Surprisingly low key. Steve Jobs is interred somewhere in the park in an unmarked grave. The entire cemetery is huge with plenty of indoor and outdoor memorials, mausoleums and winding mazes. The place often felt like out of a Fellini movie.
